Will's first assignment as a Starfleet officer was a posting as an Ensign aboard the USS Pegasus under the command of Captain Erik Pressman in late 2357. His youthful appearance soon earned him the nickname 'Ensign Babyface' from the ship's Tactical Officer Mark Boylan.
